October Blog
This month in Comm class I learned more about Interpersonal Relationships, connections, and bonds. As a class we learned a lot more this month then the last couple. In the Keith Berry essay, the authors use autoethnography to critically investigate the problem of bullying within family contexts. They convey and analyze two narratives that illustrate salient ways bullying happens within families, and describe how the relational practices of understanding, dialogue, and forgiveness inform such aggression. This inquiry provokes the reconsideration of normative ways of conceptualizing the family, primarily by proposing a more voluntary orientation to familial relationships. As an example of how bulkying can be bad on both sides of the chart is that it makes kids insecure and they think more about the problems they go through at home. Bullying comes from a Lack of love, attention, and built up anger or aggression. This month was fun for me as a student because there were times were I didn’t know what to do as far as homework and other students gave me extra help or were able to help me understand something I didn’t know. The best part were the quizzes, it was fun coming into class knowing we had a quiz and then take it and pass it.
