"Fear is what makes us great. Its what makes us commit to the leap and dive in, full-bodied, and risk and dig and push. Fear means something really important on the line. Fear is the fuel behind everything great I have ever done," This is directly quoted from Gomez-Man up and speaks to an emotion we've all felt before.
I selected this quote in particular for one because this emotion is relatable to almost any person, something we come across throughout life. Whether that be before a sporting event, musical performance or any type of high-stakes situation. "Butterflies in your stomach" is what people commonly refer to in describing the heart throbbing, palms sweating, legs shaking sensations that occurs. With that being said, not all this emotion symbolizes something bad, but rather a self-awareness of whats at stake. I believe this can happen with individuals that feel strongly passionate about there vocation, essentially means you care. This heightened awareness state can bring out our best performance if controlled correctly. This emotion has happened for some people more times than others, but is something that will not go away with the upcoming future. I. hope people strive to put themselves in unfamiliar situations that bring out this fear, because you will only grow as individual as a result.
